You keep what you kill

This is why we need Ginger juice! Ginger juice for the win! Ginger juice 'til I die! Ginger, ginger, ginger! Makes me happy and hyperactive, my hair slick and shiny, my skin soft and beautiful! Add some lemon to make me even more happy and hyperactive! Hyper hyper! Add some chili to achieve true bliss and conquer the world in a day or so! More chili, more lemon, more ginger! More hyper! Love y'all. Of course there's other drinks as well. My favorite vegan vietnamese restaurant in Cologne offers a smoothie that even Ian Stewart would have liked: Sometimes, it pays to pay attention to how you name things. :-D :-D :-D 

Well. Went to see John Cleese at the Admiralspalast the other day. Well. Not really the other day, more like four weeks ago. But with Frankfurt bookfair looming, may I be excused for not posting in a timely manner? Please. I'll be a good boy. So, John Cleese. Well. Hmmm. I thought the performance lacked a bit of punch and certainly lacked originality. Lots of video snippets from the good old days. Don't get me wrong, they were great, but I can watch them at home just as well. Actually, some of the best minutes of the show was the part when the teleprompters broke down and some improvisation had to happen. So, yes, although I find it extremely hard to say, I was disappointed. A little bit. Not angry, not terrible. But a little bit disappointed. Still mad love and all that though. Peace out.

The weekend before last, we discovered another hidden treasure in Berlin: Das Tegeler Fließ. Very beautiful. It would have been even more beatiful without the cyclists, but hey, can't have it all. There's a bunch of water buffalos grazing there as well, so I shot a few for dinner of course. Did you know that the mouldy feces of these animals is called "mozzarella" in Italian? It's Benito Salvini's favorite food, he likes it mixed with dead embryos. Close to the S-Bahn station "Waidmannslust" (hence the hunting) we found one of the coolest street names in Berlin: Düsterhauptstr. But could not see any goth clubs or anything.  Finally, apparently pigeons have decided to breed underneath the sofa on our balcony. Which is fine with us except for the fact that the balcony surface needs to be redone by the Hausverwaltung. So, let's see, they're still at it and not giving up. Pigeons for the win! Interessanter Tag. Vielleicht geht der 16.07.2019 später mal in die Geschichtsbücher ein als "der Tag, an dem die EU zu Grunde ging, ohne dass die Verantwortlichen es gemerkt haben". Heute Abend wird Korruptions-Ursula (von der Leyen) zur EU Präsidentin, ähh, Komissionschefin, ähh, Führerin, ähhh Gottkaiserin, äääh sie weiß es selbst nicht so genau, aber Hauptsache sie wird gewählt! Dass CDU/CSU stramm den Schulterschluss mit den offen faschistischen Kräften suchen, geschenkt, das ist ja nichts neues und in der DNA dieser Partei. Die FDP sowieso, schließlich waren die Nationalliberalen auch damals schon gute Steigbügelhalter und Christian Linder in einer schicken schwarzen Uniform, da fühlt er sich sicher wohl. Aber auch die SPD will nicht zurückstehen und dient sich an, schließlich will man wohl auch in den kommenden CDU/AfD Koalitionen auf Landesebene vielleicht noch als Juniorpartner dabei sein dürfen, hier streiten sie mit der FDP um die Rolle des Mehrheitsbeschaffers ....

Splitter. Bester Vorschlag des Jahres kam, wer hätte das gedacht, vom Inzestopfer Andi Scheuer aus dem Bayernland. Der Mann ist in vielerlei Hinsicht ein Vorbild: Man muss sich nicht artikulieren können, um öffentlich aufzutreten. Man muss keine Ahnung von Logistik und Verkehr haben, um Verkehrsminister zu werden. Man kann dumm wie Scheiße sein und trotzdem fett Kohle verdienen, inklusive netter Pöstchen in der Zeit nach der Politik. Herzlichen Glückwunsch dazu! Zurück zur Sache aber: Man soll künftig mit einem Autoführerschein auch Motorrad fahren dürfen. Sagt der Andi. Und das finde ich super, denn es hätte nur Vorteile: Die Anzahl der Autofahrer verringert sich. Die Anzahl der Autofahrer verringert sich dauerhaft. Die Anzahl der dummen Menschen verringert sich dauerhaft. Ist gut für die Menschheit, das Klima, den Verkehr. Also bitte umsetzen, noch vor der Sommerpause. Und kostenlose Motorräder mit viiiiiiiieeeeel PS für all die Affen, die das ausprobieren wolle...

The British Museum is a great institution. Ok, granted, it's built on what we Germans call "Beutekunst", the British have been robbing the world blind for centuries, stealing treasures and art from all over the globe to exhibit it in London, but at least they are doing a good job with it. There's currently a Mange Exhibition at the British Museum and I was fortunate enough to have some downtime in London, so I went. Well worth it! They do a very good job of both covering the very broad spectrum (except for fetish, which is underrepresented) and explaining the stuff to non-geeks. So, highly recommended. And sorely tempting, I could have spent millions in the shop afterwards. But I'm strong. I resisted. Only bought the catalogue. So proud of myself. ME WANTS ALL THEM MANGAS RIGHT NOW! AAARGH!
