Yep. Dat Ding heisst nicht umsonst so, Hammer Sonnenuntergang in einem completely remote spot. Very nice. Heute dann hoch nach Whangaroa Harbour, hammergeiles Hostel und hoffentlich gleich leckeres Essen, sonst kommt die Reisebegleitung auf das BBQ. Und endlich mal halbwegs normalesInternetbisaufdenFaktdassdieLeertastenichtimmerfunktioniert.

Nachtraeglich euch noch ein frohes neues Jahr! Schoen, dass ihr die Autokrankheiten dank neuer Karre doch noch losgeworden seid, so ein funktionierender Kuehler hilft ungemein. Bin mir noch nicht so sicher, ob ich mir die Bilder auf dem Surfbrett vorstellen will, hoff aber, dass der weibliche Part ein paar gute Schappschuesse davon getroffen hat (braungebrannt mit offenem, gebluemten Hawaihemd oder so). Also, euch noch viel Spass mit den Kiwis!

So, ein kurzer Rückblick auf Orte und Unterkunft meines dritten Neuseelandtrips, I've switched from Hitler ratings to the more politically correct BBH ratings: Auckland: a good place to start a trip. Nette Hafenstadt, jede Menge Inseln in unmittelbarer Nähe, gute Infrastruktur, gutes Essen. Hostel: Verandahs . 55%, no towels. Stay away from this one. Hokianga (Omapere): beautiful, picturesque harbour, lovely coast, close to the Kauri forest. Hostel: Globetrekkers Lodg e. 55%, no towels. Would have been much nicer if those Dutch idiots had not been there. But it is still the owner's/manager's responsibility to keep kitchen/fridges clean and guests from misbehaving too much, sorry. Raglan: nice beach, nice coast, nice harbour. Definitely worth a visit, especially when you're into surfing. Hostel: Raglan Backpackers and Waterfront Lodge . 85%, towels for hire. Nice place, and - surprisingly - nice people, no surf nazis. Tongariro National Park: Must-visit. Absolutely spec...

Einzelhandel has gotta die

Letzten Samstag wollte ich ein paar Schuhe erwerben. Nichts ausgefallenes, ganz simple Parameter. Größe 43, schwarz, maximal 200 €. Eigentlich also ganz einfach und vom Betrag her sicherlich auch etwas, für das man sich als Verkäufer schonmal anstrengen darf. Ich war in ca. 700 Schuhgeschäften - nichts. Entweder gab es den Schuh, den ich wollte, nicht in 43 oder halt nur Billigmüll. Wie kann das sein? Das ist doch keine Spezialgröße? Wieso verkauft ihr soviel Schrott? Wieso taugen die Verkäufer/innen nichts? Egal, mich hat es gefreut, denn ich habe dann zu Hause mit drei Klicks bei "Lüke Schuhe" online gefunden und bestellt. Donnerstag war die Lieferung dann da, alles bestens. Vor allem halt auch eine gute Site mit guten Filtermöglichkeiten, so soll das sein. Was wieder einmal zeigt: Einzelhändler dieser Welt - niemand braucht euch! Ihr verkauft zu 99% Müll, könnt nicht beraten und seid unfreundlich. Außerdem habt ihr Kack-Sortimente.
